The Itinerary
Day 1 – Mint Tour Guides will meet your flight at Christchurch Airport and transfer you to our conveniently located hotel. Here you will have the chance to meet with the other guests and rest up for an early start.
Day 2 - Our group meets for breakfast (included) at our hotel and we depart for our driving day to the Cardrona Valley. Along the way we stop off and check out some of the amazing scenery of the Southern Alps. We reach our luxury accommodation in the late afternoon and settle in for the next three nights at the newest and closest accommodation to two of Wanaka’s best resorts, Cardrona and Snowpark. Kicking off with a welcome party at our lodge, a gourmet bbq and drinks (meal & drinks included).
Day 3 - For our first day on the hill we hit Cardrona Resort which is known for its natural snow, wide open bowls and early morning groomies. Always baked in sunlight, relaxed and varied in terrain, 'Cardies' is a popular resort of many of the Mint crew. Combined with a great terrain park including 4 halfpipes, Cardona is a great place to warm up for the rest of the tour. Then after a full day of skiing and riding, we head home to have a few drinks, share some stories and enjoy another great BBQ dinner. (dinner & drinks included)
Day 4 - Situated above the Cardrona Valley and only a short drive from our accommodation, is the famous Snowpark. Boasting a variety of terrain park features including; World Cup size Superpipe, quarter pipe, wall ride, over 40 rails and boxes, jumps and hits suitable for all abilities. Snow Park is 100% dedicated to freestyle snowboarding and skiing by providing the Southern Hemisphere's premier terrain park. Our Mint Tours pro coaches are on hand to provide exclusive one-on-one instruction for the entire day. Tonight we have the option to either check out the township of Wanaka and grab a meal or just stay at the lodge and relax. (dinner included)
Day 5 - Today we head back over to Cardona. This will be a great opportunity to start working on those new park and pipe skills, or just go freeriding. Later that afternoon we make the journey north to the famous Mt Potts Lodge where a great three course meal is waiting for us.
Day 6 – Our first day at Mt Potts Heli Park. After a cooked breakfast we are met at the heli pad only ten metres away from the Lodge, and flown up to some of the highest backcounty in New Zealand, Two Thumb and Cloudy Peaks. This unique area of the Southern Alps makes Heli Park the perfect environment for snowboarders and free-skiers to train in the powder, build kickers or bomb some chutes and drops. Your Heli Park access pass is included which gets you the first run of the day, and a lunch on the mountain. Additional runs are only NZ $75 each, the chopper is ours for the day so you can have 10 runs or only a couple, the freedom is yours to decide. Mt Potts guides are fully qualified and experienced, and later that day will be back around the Lodge sharing après drinks with us and talking about the epic day. Another amazing three course dinner is served.
Some stats to get excited about:
Highest Peak: 2546m
Longest possible run: 3.16km

Day 7 – We do it all over again! Another day at Heli Park where you can finally hit up those lines you missed the day before, or maybe spend some time building a kicker and taking some of those once in a lifetime photos. Our final evening is spent enjoying a great meal together back at the Lodge and swapping photos and phone numbers.
Day 8 – Early morning check-out of Mt Potts Lodge and transfer back to Christchurch Airport. Mint Tours says goodbye to everyone and looking forward to another mission somewhere!
