Although we CAN custom build your Arthur's Pass tour for any length of stay, or to suit any group size and ability, our most popular package is the 7 Day itinerary.

The Itinerary

Day 1 – Meet with Mint staff upon arrival at Christchurch Airport. We then proceed to one of our retail sponsors in Christchurch to collect any pre-arranged rental equipment. From here we drive just over an hour west to Castle Hill and settle in at our lodge.

Day 2 - Porter Heights. Situated on the Craigieburn Range near Porters Pass. Our first of the "Clubbies" provides terrain for all levels of ability and is an excellent place to warm-up for the bigger stuff!

Day 3 - Mount Cheeseman. Located in a sunny east to south east basin with open rolling terrain, Cheeseman is perfect for intermediate riders or even families. However, don't be fooled as the Mint Guides have all the "secret" hiking options!

Day 4 - Broken River. Here we find a large open basin serviced by 5 electrically driven, high capacity rope tows. These can be tricky for first timers, however, the Mint Guides will be here to help all the way. The back basins at Broken River are awesome. With some of the most extreme skiing and riding in the country.

Day 5 - Temple Basin. "If I had to stay in one area, on one mountain…to snowboard for the rest of my life, it would be Temple Basin. Its that good!" (Transworld Snowboarding Magazine 96') Here we truly get the "Club Field" experience. After a short drive up to the car park, then a 45 minute hike along some of the best scenery the Southern Alps, we find ourselves at the Temple Basin lodge. Its here we bunk up for the evening with a good meal and catch up on the day's adventures.

Day 6 – Craigeburn. Combined with Broken River, Craigieburn's terrain covers an incredible 900 hectares, making the area the largest in New Zealand. Famous for its powder bowls, chutes and lack of crowds, Craigieburn is a personal favorite amongst the Mint locals. Best suited to intermediates and advanced skiers and riders.

Day 7 – Arthur's Pass Tour concludes. We make the journey back to Christchurch Airport, and say goodbye to all our new friends. Hoping to catch up again somewhere on the hill!

Note: Subject to change due to weather and conditions. Mint guides KNOW the 'Clubbies', therefore will change around the order to find you best the snow!
