The resort mountain town of Niseko / Grand Hirafu is a powder snow factory. Niseko is widely known in the ski industry as the best snow destination in Japan for three main reasons; weather, size and more recently nightlife.

Niseko is located only a couple of hours from Sapporo international airport. The super light dry snow comes from Siberian storms, producing an annual snowfall of over 15 metres! Combine this with minimal crowds and the pick of endless tree runs, and Niseko delivers the ultimate powder mission.

As part of all of our packages to Niseko, we also include a day at Rusutsu. Most people may never have heard of this gem of a resort found only 45 minutes from Niseko, let alone sampled its untouched snow!

"I think Rusutsu is one of the best, it has way less people, and is just as wide as Hirafu, Annupuri and others. And has steeper runs compared to Niseko, which is appealing to some of the more experienced riders and skiers."
